My truck hydrolocked and had to be towed to the dealer. The cost for them to check it out was $239.00. The cost to replace the egr cooler was another $1300, bringing my total to over $1500.
It is nearly impossible to find a small shop that can work on the 6.0. A fellow contractor told me about this diesel mechanic that was leaving the dealer to open up his own shop so i decided to pay another $246.00 to have it towed to him.( It seems a lot of Ford mechanics are leaving the dealer). In doing this i saved a little over $400 and when i picked up my truck it was completely detailed inside and out and the engine was clean. The dealer has never detailed my truck! The mechanic's name was Myron and the shop is Mobile Oval Auto Repair, Mobile Oval - www.mobileoval.com - Orlando's Best Auto Repair shop! . I am interested to know if anyone else has tried him in Orlando? |
