Thumbs down 04 6.0 problems

i just became member
i have 04 f250 6.0 362000 miles its been a good truck.
it died five days ago replaced icp, ipr, ran for thirty minutes , i then drove 1/2 mile and it died
code shows 2617 crankshaft sensor open ckt
another scanner shows all 8 cylinders misfire
going to replace sensor tommorrow what about camshaft sensor any help please

Remove a/c compressor and you will see the crank sensor. When you go to replace the crank sensor look in the hole and make sure the tone ring is still in the center of the hole. Also make sure (with a small screw driver and a small amount of force) the ring cannot spin on the crankshaft. I certainly hope its not that

Smile fried wires

after replacing ipr,icp and crankshaft sensor truck would not start , code still showed ipr open circuit so looked at wiring inside heat sleeve and found wires melted together. spliced wires and truck started . runs better than it has in a long time better fuel mileage also
