7.3 lose of power and dies.

2001 7.3 sudden lose of power driving down the road rpm fluctuate and will die. turn key off and start it again starts right up. Replaced cps and is still doing it. I have edge plus juice programmer on the truck and aftermarket larger exhaust. otherwise stock.

Start with the basics, get that Edge off it and go back to stock to be sure it's not causing the problem.

Next Fuel Delivery could do as you describe.

How old is the filter?

Look above the pass ft tire, you'll see a 3/8" metal tube, against the motor that ends there, it's the drain for the bowl (yellow lever you slide to the side). Get a cup, open the lever, drain the fuel bowl, look at the fuel, close the lever. Then, turn the key to the ON position (should hear the pump) for 15 secs. Drain the fuel bowl again, whaddya got?

How low is the tank? (you can have problems starting at @ 1/4 tank)

Fuel filter is a little over a month old. Fuel tank is full. Will have to drain the bowl and see.
