Angry 2008 F350 High pressure fuel pump fail

Sadly we just wrote a check to the dealership for $14,000 to replace the engine in our 2008 F 350 (83k) miles. The fuel pump failed and pumped diesel into cylinders 1 and 2..causing the engine to throw a rod. We are saddened by the lack of acknowledgement from Ford. No help available. I sent letters, I met with the service manager at dealership...Apparently the product doesn't even outlast the original loan (5 years). So frustrated.

Sorry for your issues your having. IMHO I wouldnt have sunk that kind of money into your truck. Your never going to see that money out of it. I would have hunted down a used motor and had a good shop intall it. Did they tell you exactly why it hydro locked and threw a rod? What part failed that was the root cause and how and what are they doing so that it won't do it again?

Nope, just told us it failed. Cracked heads too, our logic was it was cheaper than a new one. Doesn't make it any better
