What can I ask Ford?????

Looking at a nice clean 06 2 owner local trade at Ford. No 5thwheel, bed is clean with a Leer cap.
Can you all help with a list of Diagnostics I can ask the Ford Dealer to run before committing to buy it?
Its got 236K CCLB trying to get it for $11K

Sold my F250 1997 7.3L Bone Stock
Now between 6.0 7.3

Any Ford techs that know the magic questions I can ask Ford?

I am not a mechanic but you might start by asking for an Oasis report (will show any dealer performed maintenance including problem fixes).

that and carfax is about all. and read the before buying part here What to look for when buying a used 6.0L

What this nation needs is cleaner thoughts and dirtier fingernails...

I bought the 30 psi gauge at harbor freight in order to hook to degas bottle to see if it blows beyond the 16 psi. Thats going to let me know if there is a blown he'd gasket.

But I was looking for stuff that can be checked by the dealer with their expensive scanners / & laptop programs that they use to trouble shoot your rig when you show up with a problem. Example injector flow pressure, fuel rail pressure/ … Etc… Things like that.

I really don't think its cool to ask for an Oasis for every truck I see. But would of liked to put ford up against their used trucks for sale. Face it they have the techno tools ….So can some hot shot please spell the formula? Or does every 6.0 owner need to face the fact that it needs soil cooler/egr delete/ new injectors . just to not get stuck down the road with the family? Come on people! Btw wonder where all the helpful members gone to?

Sorry Buds! I lost it for a minute. I know some tech in the premium member side has the answer. Just want to check the 6.0 out real good before buying it. Really trying to end up with the 6 more inches if leg room rather than calling it quits and going cummins . thats all folks

I wouldn't pay 11k for a 6.0 with 236k regardless of current mechanical state, my 7.3 only had 158k and was 10.

You almost have to know the person who owned it previously in order to bypass a full report on it. Too many people gave the 6.0's a bad name because they bought a brand new truck spent $900 bucks(at the time) on a tuner set it to 150+ hp and beat the breaks off it until they blew something up.

DD- 11 6.7 scsb: sct4 gearhead tunes, 4" dpb axle dump exhaust, 2.5 level, fox shocks, no limit egr delete, no limit stage 2 intake, STT PRO 295/65r20, black fuel couplers

sold- 00 7.3 modded to the end.
