Need help! 2000 7.3 suddenly smoking...don't know why

I recently bought a 2000 F-350 with 7.3...only had 103,000 miles on it...I have put about 3,000 miles on it...I have been pulling loaded cattle trailers and flatbed trailers with it with no problems...has always cranked and ran fine, but today started smoking(blue smoke, smells like oil)...didn't notice it until I stopped to back up to unload cattle after driving about 25 miles...I shut off engine and checked oil level, coolant, etc.(all ok)...cranked again and it seemed to clear up after I unloaded and started driving again, but did it again when I put it in reverse and started to back up to load again...carried to a reputable diesel mechanic and he done the basic checks, but upon intial inspection, saw no obvious cause...he did say the air filter was dirty and also coolant reservoir appears to be building up too much pressure(he removed the cap with it running and it kinda popped)...also the coolant looked nasty and dark, but didn't feel oily to me...the engine oil looked fine to me,but he said it looked "a little foamy"...the truck still cranks and runs fine, but I left the truck with him to further check out,but I am worried about it...any ideas?
