Has this happened to anyone before?

About 2 weeks ago I had an oil leak on my 7.3 PSD. I brought it to the Ford dealer and they were gonna charge me about $300 to fix the O-Ring (Issue) and remove all the oil from inside the engine and under the truck.

As there was oil covering the entire undercarriage and under the hood as I was driving long distance when it happened and when I got back home the last quart of oil came out. I had about 16 quarts of oil before I left and when I left the truck didn't seem to be leaking.

Now my question and point of this thread is a few days after I brought it to Ford and everything they called me saying I needed a new Fuel Injection Pump which was gonna be a $800 part and the labor was on them which seemed weird. After doing some research I found out the system used by the 7.3 PSD doesn't use a Fuel Injection Pump as that is on the IDI model.

Has this happened to anyone before?
I also printed out how the engine works, various diagrams and so on saying what Ford was saying is BS and I left with my truck like it was brand new without paying a cent!
