p2138,39???
alright, been chasing the same problems for months now and still cant seem to get a total fix. scanner reads back: p2138, p2139 and points to the TPS. i've put two new pedals in the thing, even changed the throttle body for sh*ts and giggle's and it's not completely fixing the problems i.e hesitation on acceloration, in and out power loss, and white smoking. other things ive done are thoroughly cleaning the EGR valve, new FICM, oil change with HSS additive, replaced intake manifold gaskets, and new fuel filters. starting to think it may be the PCM but thats an expensive guess. any idea's? p.s. 2003 f250 with the 6.0.

Check for a shorted MAP/BARO sensor, it will kill the APP signal sircuit for 2 of the sensors.
Hope this helps |

thanks for the reply. i hadnt even thought of the MAP or BARO sensors. assuming i can use a VOMeter to check them out, how exactly would i run the test? based on what little i know, the MAP seems to be the most likely suspect so i'll start there.
