6.0 P2285 help!!

Ok I've read a ton of posts on this... but I got so confused , So im posting my father in laws issues ..

Code P2285

He has an F350 built in july 03 , considered an 04 6.0


It starts and runs but really bad, sometimes it will surge when foots on break... I'm trying to get him some help as they don't have the cash to take it in.. I'm 7 hrs away but trying to help all i can..At idle it tries to die..


Where should i start!!!

Where should i start!!!
Is the ICP sensor in the passenger side valve cover or under the turbo? If it's under the turbo, then most likely it is leaking oil through sensor and into wiring harness causing issue. Would have to replace sensor and pigtail to fix it.
