Did you check the intercooler boots? Those could have a small tip or tear in them

There is a lot of oil in the pipe I could see it when I removed the upper boot on the cold side. I understand that there will be some oil in the pipe but this is a little excessive

Did you find out the problem and what did you end up doing ? I have the same problem but it's only like a teaspoon of oil. I pulled the IC to get to the power steering pump and it had oil in it and in the intake tube near the turbo.

Thanks,
Les

thats normal due to the crank case vent and the oil mist that is associated with the system

some folks reroute the vent to the atmosphere or put an inline catch can

most do nothing and are fine

My 2000 350 dually just yesterday started dropping oil on the driveway from just behind the oil pan. Garage just called and passed on a couple things that need replaced back there at a total cost of ~$500. Further told me that the oil pan is getting in bad shape and MAY require replacing sooner or later, which is a big bucks proposition as engine has to be removed to do it. Anyone else had this problem or is it just me with our Ohio liquid salt in the winter???
