P012F Code
I have a 2005 F-250 6.0L. On a recent trip the wrench light came on. I traveled another 200 miles and stopped for fuel. Light went off and did not return in next 100 miles of highway travel or 100 miles in city. On return trip the light came back on after 50miles highway speed. Stopped for lunch and finished trip with no light. No light the next day. Took it to dealer for fuel filters (which I needed anyway) and they told me to replace oil cooler. If there is a temp difference, why did the light go out for the additional 200 miles of highway driving? Intermitent problem? Truck did not sit more than 5 minutes...Maybe a sensor problem. Or oil cooler. Thanks

Almost any time you have a PO12F it will be a bad engine oil cooler.

Why would the light not be on all the time if it is a temperature variation? All guages read in a normal manner. Turning truck off then starting and the light is off.
