new owner looking for help

Hello,

I purchased an 03 f250 6.0L about 8 months ago. It has about 150K on it. Lately i have been having issues with the following:

occasionall rough idle kind of like its loading up, press on the accelerator couple times it seems ok. when i stop and turn off the truck and turn back on its all good. Doesnt matter if its hot or cold. i have no eng codes or at least the chck eng light not on. i pulled the egr and cleaned, if it was an injector would i get a code or wouldnt it run cruddy all the time? I have not checked the voltage to the ficm can some one point me to directions for that? i did find metal shavings on the speed sensor in the rear diff and cleaned, prob need to change out oil.
