injector drive module ?

I own a 2002 f250 7.3 powerstroke. My local frord dealer replaced the injector drive module (WASNT CHEAP) and it didnt fix the problem. My question is... is this module a go / no go module or can it work properly at times and not at all at other times? My understanding is that it is like a fuse, once it is burnt it is no good. BUT that is not exactly their view. anyone know??

I think it is more like a computer (ecm pcm) but I would say once it is toast there is no working or not working. I run a reman idm from a place out of Florida for 20 percent of fords price.

Is your truck throwing any codes?

My truck is now fixed. After the new idm did not fix it, they said my windshield leaks and got my gem module wet. Need to replace it. BUT when they went to ''fix'' the leaky windshield. Couldnt find a leak. So decided to take to another dealer. They found a bare wire coming from the harness. SO... just trying to get my ducks in a row to try and get some $$ back for replaced parts that didnt fix the problem. ANY thoughts or ideas?
