RPM test

I was using AutoEnginuity for the first time tonight. I was testing the fan clutch, so I would set the engine RPM to various settings, but they wouldn't go up to those RPM values. I would select 1750 and I wouldn't go above 1200. Is this normal, or am I doing something wrong?

I also enabled the fan clutch to various levels between 50 and 100%. As I ran the RPM's on the truck up, the fan would seem to work properly for a while, then die and the fan rpm's would stay low, like 300 to 500? Bad clutch?

Thanks,
Rick
