I have a 3116 Cat in a 93' GMC topkick. The stock borg werner turbo has the intake fins all dulled and chipped up from someone running a dirty air filter @ some point. It burns no oil and I have turned up the power to a ballpark of 250hp. I put on a H1C turbo off of a 5.9 cummins engine i had in my shop and all it did was make hot air when it got above 20psi. I want to stay away from the factory charger because they do not last @ anything above stock horsepower levels. The stock turbo had a 4" outlet on the turbo, which Holset would best fit my application? HX-50, or an HX-40?
