1993 Powerstroke help needed

Hi guys , new here. Need some help with my 93 1 ton 7.3 dually. It idles too fast( about 900 rpm) It seems too fast. Am I right , that it's idling too fast? Or is there a way to slow it down? Hope to do it myself. Thanks for any help. Please email me directly, if you have an answer. rdtoolmaker@gmail.com Ron

What rpm do you think it should be. Every 7.3 I ever saw ran 900 or so at start up, it helps the engine get to operateing temp quickly.

7.3

Even when the engine is warmed up, it still idles that fast. Any ideas? Thanks for the help. Ron

You may try spraying the throttle plate pivots it may be stickin. To be honest I always considered 800 to 900 rpm normal. You may try loosening the screws on the tps and move it a little the mount holes are slotted, it may be set too high.
