Do ya want a wild guess or diagnostics. For diagnostics we need data. Have it scanned with a real scanner by someone who knows how to use it. A autozone scan doesn't count. We need live data and it would be good to have them do a buzz test and cylinder contribution test if equiped.

When your idling, get out and walk around to your exhaust -what color is exhaust? Does it sound like it is struggling when it is idling? If your exhaust is white it is most likely the EGR cooler burning coolant. If it is bluish black smoke it could be your glow plugs. But I do agree with above post you should get it plugged into a scanner, it can give you a lot of very valuable info to help further assess the situation. Especially when it comes to diesel upgrades/repairs you don't wan to be shooting from the hip.
