Oil & coolant temps.
Hey All,
I've finally had a chance to put some freeway miles on my PSD. Heres the reason for my thread. My oil/coolant temps were an average of 10 to 14 degrees apart at 70 mph at 50 degree outside temp in full sun, oil at 187 to 197 and the coolant temp at 177 to 183 degrees, at 55 MPH I was 5 to 10 degrees apart. Sound like an oil cooler problem? Or is this acceptable with those outdoor temps, no load except me, the wife, three small dogs and two suit cases, any info would be too cool! Thank's |

sounds normal to me . it may be getting up there but still under the 15 delta. i would do a coolant flush and get a coolant filter along with changing over to elc coolant must be ec-1 rated. get rid of the ford gold witch seems to have silacates break down and clog up oil coolers . hope it helps
