I have a 2005 F-350. I know my number seven injector is going bad, but in the last couple of weeks, my batteries are dying. After testing the batteries, they are fine! After testing the alternator it shows the needle bouncing on the meter. Also I have noticed my work light under the hood brightening and diming, also when it is doing that every time the light flickers or dims is when the truck skips. Could this be a wiring harness chaffing problem??????? PLEASE HELP!!!! Thanks!!! :dunno:
Thank you for responding.....I am still scratching my head......Why do you think alternator? It never drops below 13 volts! Thanks again for responding!
Id start with checking all the ground connections on the batteries, also where they connect to the engine block and chassis on both sides, the head to firewall grounds also. The alternator terminal, and positive battery connections can contribute to this problem also, as well as the voltage regulator.
Good luck
