Smile strodbuilder

Greetings to all, and hope you have a great Thankgiving! Here's my problem.
I have a 1994 F350 Turbo Diesel. Has a lot of miles, but seems to run ok. However, It starts very hard , and blows a ton of white smoke whil cranking, ect. Once it starts, it runs a little rough, for a cuople of minutes, then seems to run fine. Its like only 60 degrees, and I have to plug it in to start it. The "start light" only stays on for 2 or 3 seconds or so. Any advise would be much appreciated!

I would also agree it's most likely the glowplugs, glowplug relay/solenoid, or maybe even the
glowplug "switch" thats in the intake.

It doesn't have to be very cold at all to "need" the glow plugs. in fact they also cycle on and off
for the first 90 seconds or so after start up to help clear unburnt fuel... just info for though...
