Fuel/starting issues????

Hello everyone, I'm new to the site I have been reding posts for a while and have found great info on here. That being said I have a question of my own. I have a 2006 6.0L and recently has been giving me start up issues. It only seems to happen when the engine is still hot but when I turn the key the fuel pump will only cycle for a bout 1 second if at all. Needless to say the truck won't start. After letting it sit for 10 - 15 mins it will start and operate fine. The shop just replaced the fuel filter housing seal as it was leaking
and I thought that might have had something to do with it. However it still acts up. My thought is the obvious one that it is the fuel pump going bad. Is that a good place to start or should I look at other possibilities first? Thanks in advance for any input.
