1995 F-250 Rear gas tank oddity
Hey everyone - new to the diesel world so go easy on me....
![]() Just bought a 1995 F-250 7.3 PSD and there is a strange thing going on with the fuel tanks. I filled up the front tank all the way, it was almost empty but took about 13 gallons-- gas gauge worked great, all is good. I went to fill up the rear tank and it acted as if it was already full, I couldn't put any gas in it since it would shut off the pump. But the rear gauge says empty. I'm thinking, faulty gauge or something else? Also, the specs say the fuel capacity on a 1995 F250 is 37.2 gallons....I'm assuming that's both tanks combined? Thanks in advance for any advice! MB |

I would guess faulty gauge. Best thing is to drop the tank and see if its really full or maybe the filler is clogged.

I have to put the pump nozzle upside down to fill rear tank. Might try that, and fill at slower rate.
