06 6.0 problems
I have a 06 F250 6.0 that started running rough, then hard or no start when warm, usually cold, a host of codes: P0113,0269,0284,0299,0403,0404,0405,0478,2290,2464 , no smoke or steam issues, is this an electrical issue causing all this?

For informational purposes:
P0113: Intake air temp sensor 1 circuit high P0269: cylinder #3 contribution/balance P0284: cylinder#8 contribution/balance P0299: Turbo underboost P0403: EGR valve control circuit P0404: EGR control circuit range/performance P0405: EGR Sensor "A" circuit low P0478: Exhaust pressure control valve high input P2290: ICP too low P2464: I can't find a listing for this code. Sounds like an electrical gremlin has attacked your truck! |

time to go to the shop. while you have a lot of codes they're likely not related to an electrical problem. every one of those dtcs seems to point to a pretty common issue
EGR valve, clean the turbo, STC, dummy plugs and a few injectors. |

When getting your truck scanned for codes, it is MUCH more helpful to get the code number than what they tell you the code means. Their description means little, if anything. Get the code number.

05 f250 6.0
followup on my recent post and still have issues, replaced 4 injectors, hpop, dummy plugs, did EGR delete, runs great down the road now, NO DTC's at all however still WILL NOT hot start, cold is fine, wth is with this?

Since when oil gets hotter, it flows more freely, hard starting hot points to a high pressure oil leak.
Since you just did injectors, HPOP, dummy plugs and standpipes (I assume standpipes and STC fitting were addressed), take the valve covers off and watch for it. Might be the o-rings on top of some of the injectors. |
