steaming 6.0

My 2006 6.0 starting blowing steam out of the exhaust and using up coolant. I purchased the arp head studs, egr delete, head gaskets, oil cooker kit, and sct tuner. i am going to do the install myself, but I am wondering exactly what went bad, and how much its safe to be driven before I have a chance to do the swap. Thanks for any help.

Read the first link in my signature and quit driving it till you fix it. There is more going on than the head gaskets.
