97' 7.3 fuel mileage
I just signed up here & have a question. I have a 97' F-250 4 X 4 W/ a long bed, ext. cab. & 7.3 turbo power stroke. exhaust & everything else is stock. This truck was bought new & has had very few problems. The cam speed sensor went out several times & was replaced under warranty. I do not know whether they updated the sensor but it has been OK for 40 K. But the last 2 trips to Ford they replaced it ( gratus ) anyway. Anyway- about 4,000 miles ago the lift pump went out & was replaced by Ford. Since then my milesge has dropped. Before I was getting 18 city/21 highway ( when I kept my foot out of it ) & 15 city.18 highway when I drove faster ( 75-80 m.p.h.). Since the work was done I'm getting 13/15 at higher speeds. I just turned over 100K. I've tried various brands of fuel. Any opinions?[/SIZE]
