It's that time again

Well yesterday was 80 and sunny. So I called some friends got some beverages. Then I fired up the grill.

The menu consisted of
New York Strips cooked by Bigcountry so you know they were good.

Sliced taters smoothered with butter, sprinkled with onion salt and garlic salt, then wrapped up in tin foil and then put on the grill.

Barbeque beans with farm fresh smoked bacon.

I cooked up 10 NY strips to a nice medium rare. Cooked the taters on the grill for about 1.5 hours. I cooked the beans in the crock pot cause I was lazy.

Let me tell you it was nothing better then to celebrate the beautiful day with friends and drinks and food. Slowed down life and enjoyed it yesterday.

I have quite a bit on my plate in the personal life department right lately. Stressing me out and what not. So it was nice to kick back and relax with my closest friends and just sit around listen to country music and tell stories. Now I can not confirm or deny if the stories that were being told were true or not. I guess that would depend on who was telling the story and how much they drank prior to telling the story.

Oh and if you are wondering Stump the beer mug I got from you worked out great last night.

We did kinda the same thing yesterday. Invited some people over and had fresh, Jersey steer burgers (I've got steaks too but they're for me ) I've made taters like that on the grill and they are awesome Glad to hear you got out and relaxed yesterday

Sometimes you just need to hit the brakes and stop and enjoy the finer things in life.

sounds like a good time bud. I do taters like that also, but I actually throw onions in there, and peppers if I'm feelin it. I've also use lil bread pans to do it instead of the tin foil. Works good on my grill, they're the right height to go under the rack in the rear of the grill.

Guess what I still have a couple steaks to cook up today, beer in the fridge, left over beans, and gonna make french fries today. Nascar race is on so it should be a good meal to go with the race.

Dang Scott I just woke up and haven't even had breakfast yet... Thank God you didn't post pics of those steaks grilling... I don't know if I could have taken that so early in the morning... Mmmmmmmnnnn good!
