How about a little snack?
How about some very easy, simple jalepeno poppers?
Take however many peppers you want, slice them in half, cut all the seeds out, take cream cheese and fill the pepper halves up. Then wrap them in bacon and set them in the oven on 400 untill they are crisp. Takes about 45min total from first cut to first bite. Not much mess eiether. jalepenos here are about $1.50 a pound (Normally about 12 peppers), cream cheese you can pick up for about the same price, the bacon, I just buy the cheapest stuff there, normally about $5 a pack. Minimal cost- excellent taste! Works great with habeneros too. Caution: what burns going in always burns coming out.... LOL |
