Cooking the bird

Ok this is a little venting. Ok it is no secret I worked today. In fact I am at work right now. But anyways that left my wife at home to cook the meal. Well my instructions for the bird was set oven at 350 place bird in bag. Place bird in oven at 1pm cook for 4 hours. Well my wife listened to everyone else and put the bird in at 1130am. Now I am at work for another 2 hours and 40 minutes and there is a fully cooked 12 pound turkey waiting for me at home. So it is in the oven at 150 keeping warm.

Gee why can't women listen to the men sometimes. Simple instructions all that had to be done was follow them. Even my mom aggrees with my cooking instructions. As she should she is the one that taught me how to cook.

Sorry to hear Scott. I'm stuck at work on a 12 hour shift today too.

It will as long as she listened to me. I told her to keep the bird in the oven set oven at 150 keep warm setting and to baste the bird every 45minutes to an hour to keep it moist.

I will let you all know how it turns out later tonight.

I feel your pain. My wife set out two days ago being a royal biotch because her wishy-washy mother changed her plans and pissed off my wife. So in one way or another she's been F'ing with me about it. I'm still not talking to her. I took the kids to the park by myself and am about to get my stuff ready for work and go in a few hours early. I'm doing everything in my power to not become a wife beater right now and kick her teeth in. Hence my reason for being on here in a closed up room. Thanks for letting me vent on your thread. You guys are my family today.

That's what a rational person would do. Did I mention she's a cut-throat divorce attorney. It's getting real fun around my house.

Thats the problem right there man. But give it time. Before you know it everything will be back to normal just in time to be a mess again because of Christmas.

That's funny right there. I was just thinking "She ruined my Thanksgiving... wonder if she's gonna destroy Christmas too?"
