egg in a hole

My grandmother made this for me 45 years ago but she called it an egg in a hole. I turned all the guys onto it at the fire dept. Its a hit. Makes the bread taste like grilled cheese but with an egg in it instead of cheese. Try it with rye bread. You'll like that even better than with white.

Oh and if you add a slice of cheese over the top of it makes it even better.
