BBQ Sweet Corn

Ok so you got a dozen ears of sweet corn. How you gonna cook it. Well this is what I do.

I place corn in a pot of water and soak it over night in the fridge leaving the husk on the corn. Then when I am ready to cook it. I fire up the grill and heat it up to 200 degrees. Then I place the corn with the husk on, onto the grill. I rotate the corn often to prevent burning and popping. In about 20 to 30 minutes you have BBQ sweet corn.

Another way to cook it is dehusk it. Place in a pot with about 2 inches of water. Then place the pot on the stove and place the cover on the pot. Let the water come to boil. Then let the water boil for 20 more minutes this causes the corn to cook by steam and leaves all the nice great sweet flavor in the corn instead of in the water.

hey big country, i love sweet corn on the fire. cook it the same way, soaked and cooked with husk on but over a camp fire. just gotta burn alot of wood to get some nice hot coals. heres another trick. take a empty soup can or any can, throw a stick or two of butter in it and place it right on the fire or grill. when melted you can just dip that sweet corn right in the can. love the recipese keep'em comin

That's the way I do corn, over mesquite. The only difference is that I quit the soaking part. It's not really necessary.

If you are in a hurry, you can microwave it. Husks on, for about 4 minutes. You can do about 4 ears in 5 minutes (all at once) in my big microwave. It is as good this way as any other. Just be sure to rearrange and turn part way through
