new from ct and need some info

anyone here bring their truck in from out of state? i'm getting an obs 97 to be exact went to dmv to get the paperwork and info i needed to get my plates transfered over. i guess i need temp plates in order to get an emissions test once i pass they will let me transfer my plates from my old truck. going by what the dmv site says emissions test is either lmd loaded mode dynamometer or modified snap acceleration test with those i assume they're checking how much smoke you put out? with my old truck all they did was the obd test i think? also the obs i am getting is straightpiped so they will probably fail me on that so ill have to find a cat to put in. anyone know of a diesel friendly emission test place in eastern or hartford area?? thanks for any info

when i got my 02 7.3 emissions tested, i did it straight piped! no cat no muffler nothing! and it was really staight piped the exhaust was cut off underneath the cab.

so i dont think youll have any problems.

just call a couple emissions facilities and ask if they do diesel then ask if its ok that its straight piped.

the place i went to was in east haven.
