The XD is the same size as my G27. I carry it all of the time with no problem at all. I think if you find yourself a good holster, you will not have a problem. I usually carry about 4:00 with an IWB. You don't even know it is there and 90% of the time, I forget that I am carrying it. Good belt and a good holster will go a LONG way.

I had 3 different holsters. I never felt comfortable carring it. I love the new one. I dont know its there.

Thanks and no its not for sale. It may become a back up or when the GF gets her license she can carry it in her purse or something.

The lightweight J-Frames pack a serious punch with .357 rounds. I owned a 640 but traded it for a Glock36 after my time at the range proved relatively unpleasant unless I was using .38 rounds.

Nice guns!

The 649 isn't a Airweight, or a "lightweight" it is all SS gun and solid as all get out. The extra weight really tames down the magnum rounds. You are right the 357 is brutal out of the airweights!!! Congrats on a fine choice for CC. I carry a 649 daily in a Mika holster, it is my BUG to my Glock 23.

Good call on the revolver, best carry guns you can have don't jam and go bang when you pull the trigger. I have a M&P 340, .357's are a bit rough but can shoot 38's on the range all day. Still carry .357's when packing though.
