Foam Target Backers

Since I started doing Concealed Carry instruction 9 years ago, I have always offered private classes for 4 or more people. I go to their home or business to teach the class, and carry my home made portable range with me. That consisted of 4x4 uprights with 2x4s across the top and bottom. I then would staple cardboard to the 2x4s and then the target is fastened to the cardboard. It has worked well for 9 years, but I found a lighter, easier to set up, more professional looking set up this week from my local sherrifs office shooting range. Its a product from Metalmasters target systems. 24x48x3 foam backers that will handle 10k pistol rounds before needing replacement. The foam backers are pre drilled to sit on stands(I made here at home out of scrap metal. They want 160 dollars for theirs!) Simnple, easy and quick to set up. We shot one for giggles and the bullet holes closed back up within seconds. Pretty neat stuff!! I am looking forward to using them.

SC only. Each state has its own laws and guidelines for concealed carry , and its own instructors.

I could actually do it now. I found two 100 round boxes at walley world tonight. Only been hunting for them for 3 months.
