Personally I don't think one gun fits all. I have several gun: North American Arms .22, Kel-Tek .32, Colt Pony .380, S&W Model 60 .357 Glock 26 9mm, Glock 27 .40, Glock 23 .40. Any of which I carry concealed at one point or another depending on what I am wearing or where I am going...
I would recommend any of them to any of you...
And I would Not recommend carrying a auto in your pocket w/o it being in a holster... Good luck with your decision.

Glock's are a good gun, many law enforcement officers i've talked to prefer them. I like the springfield because of the way it fits my hand, where the glock I can't reach the slide release with my thumb, and it just doesn't feel comfortable like the XD does.

glock v SA

J-
Glocks ARE good. My department just went from 9mm Glocks to Glock's in 45 GAP and they LOVE 'em! SA;s are good also, but thay are taller and do not shoot the same- Glock's have a lower profile putting more recoil in the palm of your hand- meaning more control. The SA has a taller profile, moving the recoil AWAY from you palm making a little TORQUE and TWIST when fired.

the .45 GAP is just about history, every dealer I do business is clearing them out, it was a good idea, just didn't seem to take off.

I heard the same thing until the NY State Troopers and a very large county police department (3,000+) signed on to go to the GAP in the very near future. The attraction is the frame size and the GAP ballistics- a nice package. Besides, from a police view, 9mm has some serious drawbacks...

Oh- I'm all for the thread change too.

I just wanted to get some advise, my younger brother (23) just got his pistol permit for carry/conceal. Now he's been talking about getting a Sigarms .45 P225. I just wanted to know if this is a good gun for carring.
Thanks.

hell yeah, I sell more Sig's than anything else. The 245, and 229 both make good CCW's, although the 245 is a little smaller, and a little more comfortable to carry.
