New Defense System For The Truck...

Well I bit the bullet and decided to give a 1911 a try. I own several, several, other pistols and after a few weeks ago of shooting my buddies Kimber I figured I'd join the 1911 family. Got a pretty good deal on this RIA, so I couldn't pass it up. Bought 100 rounds too, so this weekend will be a nice stress reliever....haha.

Thanks, I'm looking forward to shooting it. It was a toss up between an alarm and I figured I'd have the gun longer than my truck...haha

If you think about it, the gun is a sort of alarm, it will certainly scare theifs away when they here shots fired at them

Nice weapon, I like the matte finish

RIA is a good solid 45ACP platform, and a good gun for the money. I still prefer .40 and 9mm but any weapon is better then no weapon!! I wouldn't leave it in the truck though!!! Good way to arm the bad guys! If you do use a pair of handcuffs and cuff it to the seat post.

i don't know if you guys are lucky to have the ability to carry handguns in public or not, I'm from canada and up here you have to get a restricted fire arms licence to even purchase a hundgun, and once you have it you have to get a permit every time you want to take it off your property, even if you just want to go to the gun range you have to call and get a permit.

Are you kiddin' me? I promise, if this ever happened in Texas I would move!!!
A while back I remember seeing a short video documentary about how Canadians basically lost there right to bear arms. It was an insidious; but, organized process. I see some of the same things happening in the states and that is why everyone needs to fight for there second amendment rights from the get-go.
