Kel tec makes a .380 that is very simple and small. I have shot one a couple of time. Its a perfect cc gun. And its around 300$.

Ditto.

You could be my body-double.
I'm right handed.
My carry is a Colt Compact Officer 45 ACP High Vel Hollow Points in an IWB behind my right kidney. I also have it equipped with a SFS kit, that replaces the safety and allows me to drop the hammer on a chambered round and lets me "bring back the hammer to the ready position" (the board does not like the word caulk. it censored it so I had to edit the thread and insert what is int he quotes) it WITH THE SAFETY. It's a neat system. Pricey, tho. Cost about 160.
I wish I could get a laser to go in the spring rod....

I'm lookin' at going with a Kimber Pro-Carry II .45 ACP.

It's only 28 oz. empty and all aluminium, but with a price tag of almost a grand with night sights, it seems a bit pricy to me.

So does anyone have any suggestions of a CC pistol that is lightweight, and realitivly small so I'll be able to carry it.

The ultra carry's are really nice. A cheaper alternative is the Bersa 380 CC, which is a really great shooting gun for its size and price. I'm not a big fan of the Kel-Tecs even though I have one. I prefer my 1911 though

Here's my new CC iron. The barrel is 10.5 inches long and you DO NEED hearing protection when lighting one off. I'd hate to be IN FRONT of it when it goes off.

And with the sling hooked only to the rear trunnion, I can carry it hanging on my right shoulder under my long trench coat, like Pahou did (I think he was the indian sidekick in Palladin, HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL)

It's 7.62x39 with a 30 round clip (clip since it's a pistol. If it were a rifle, it would be a magazine, ya know).

And, yes, it's legal. And the local constabulary all go bonkers over it. They all want to shoot it.

Is it practical ? No. Not by a long shot. But it IS fun

I tried several different carry guns before I really settled on what I like and feel comfortable with. I started with a ruger lcp, then to a Springfield xd 9mm sc, then to a Kahr pm9 and finally settled on a glock 26 as the best compromise of size, capacity and accuracy. I like the idea of carrying a gun that I can shoot as a primary gun at the range. I still have a kahr pm 9 I can swap to if I need maximum concealment.

I don't see this as being a factor for choosing a CC gun. I think your best bet is to buy a gun and correct caliber that you're comfortable shooting all day long at the range, cause you're going to want to have that kind of practice with it.

I carry two different guns, one in the summer and one in the winter when I can wear a jacket. Glock 30 SF for winter cause I can't wear a IWB holster to keep it concealed, but you might be able to since you're smaller. Then I carry a Undercover 38 special, 2" barrel from Charter Arms during the summer, in a pocket holster.
