d drive not accesible i/o error

my computer will not read music discs but data discs work fine i havent tried a dvd yet

it says D:/ is not accessible

the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error

Try using a different program to play the disc. Right click, open using.. etc..
I might be assuming you are more computer savvy then you are, if so, sorry. My drives quit reading and writing the other month due to corrupted drivers and files (old computer) so I just went and found some freeware cd/dvd software and they work great again.

still the same thing its a toshiba laptop if that helps any one lol im some what computer savvy but i have lost some of my touch with them and not even my aunt that builds computers can give me an idea i need this thing working cause i have a friend giving me 20 bucks for putting music on his ipod because he doesnt have a computer any more and doesnt want to buy one lol
