Best Laptop For The Money

My wifes birthday is coming up next week and I think she's wanting a laptop and I know nothing in this area anybody no of a good laptop for the money? What kind do you guys have?

I have a Toshiba Satellite..... I cant remember the model number.

Its the one w/ the 17" screen though.

I like it for the most part.....

Toshiba or Acer is my route. I hate HP's and Dell has really gone downhill in their laptop reliability. I have never had problems with Toshiba or Acer...

I just bought a gateway from office max or office depot (I can't remember which one). I love it. They had the best prices I could find at the time

Me too. For just an internet surfing, play machine it's great and cheap! I paid $350 for mine about 2 years ago from walmart. Still works great.
