Hey guys, I know this is a diesel websight but figured you all are pretty good about technical type things, even cell phones. My "new every 2" verizon wireless upgrade is available now. Im thinking about the Dare? I have a env2 now and love it, but I dig the 3.2 megapixle camera with flash and the touch screen looks sharp. Any Verizon folks wanna throw some opinions my way Id appreciate it.

I've played around with the dare and I really like but I don't know how durable they are and etc. I'd go with a blackberry if I were you. I have a curve and love it.

I got the storm and it is AWESOME. No problems at all. 3 guys from work have it as well and love it!

ya I do want the storm but the wifey has a blackberry, and I cant justify the extra $360/yr in data charges ontop of our already rediculous bill. trust me I want the storm. But I think the Dare is the best "non data" requiring phone? anybody have a dare that can give some feed back? thanks.

Storm is cool, buddy at work has one. I went for the boulder. Its pretty strong. And it works well as a shower radio and is good for a party trick too

Having a less than stellar track record with cell phones lately, I got the G'zOne Boulder also. It's made to military specs and water resistant, neither of which my last 2 were. The belt clip is also a heavier duty and comes with 2 batteries.

After 6 months with mine I would give it a B+. Battery life is good, sound quality is good, camera is excellent! Touch screen is accurate as well. Accelerometer pretty much works well; turning the phone over 45 degrees almost always results in the screen re-orienting itself. The in-pocket sensor works well, I have never accidentally made a call with the phone still in my pocket.
With that said, the screen is just small enough that when tapping out a message with the full qwerty keyboard, the "keys" are just small enough that I have a tough time typing because of the size of my fingers. Using a stylus works great, but kills the convience. Most of the time I have to hold my hand at a slight unnatural angle to type with my fingernail instead. The only other complaint I have with it is that a lot of the time when I receive a text it doesnt sound the ring tone. I only know I got it when it gives me the "message recieved" beep later on. Recommend it for a phone, phone camera or light texting? Absolutely. A heavy texter might wanna look elsewhere. My
