Not bad machines, lots of subsidiary parts sometimes. What do you do with your computer? My recommendation would be to get 1 gig of RAM, cause if you want to run Vista(the next windows) it will help.

Its open market release date is 1/30/07, very graphics based OS which I think is the wrong way to go but eh whatever I guess. Some claim it is windows trying to be a Mac, trying to be a little more aesthetically pleasing. It is still a NT based OS like XP was. Obv. an OS like a new car or engine model will have bugs with it that need to be worked out. If/when you get it I would wait until March or so. Personally I am not a huge fan of Macs, they are quiet pricey and I have grown up in front of a PC. You could say to hell with it and run Linux We have a couple of beta and volume buyer versions of it at work, I have not had a chance to play with it yet. One thing that is nice I guess is there will be something like 5 versions of it, so hopefully one of them will work for ya.
