Crashed my Hard Drive
Western Digital stuff has always had a good rap, so I don't want to bash them, but I have 2 pocket drives made by them. A 160GB, and a 250GB drive. A few months ago my black one died, and I was able to save the info off of it, and they replaced it no questions asked.
Now my 250GB is totaly dead, the power light comes on but the hard drive won't spin up, both Windows XP and Windows 7 gives me a hardware fail message. I set up a replacement form online, and they ask for CC info incase I do not send in my bad unit, I get charged for the one they sent me... reasonable logic. Well they deicided to bill me anway for $150, and refuse to return it for at least 14 days, although I called today and cancled the call. Super pissed... so I'm on the market for a 1 or 2TB USB Hard drive.... suggestions?
