Using the 64bit version right now. Downloaded, got the keycode, installation was acutally painless! Unplugged my main hard drive and installed the beta on a spare I had laying around.

So far boot times are probably in the neighborhood of 30 seconds or so, MUCH quicker than what I was getting in XP. So far havent found any programs that wont install or run on the 64 bit version. Not saying there wont be but I only installed this today.

On a side note, the ONLY issue I have found so far is this web site. When you open up a thread on the forums only the add in top right shows up. The rest of the page is simply blank. Took a minute or two to figure out that this website has to be run in compatibility mode, then voila! All is well again.

Give it a try, just dont count on it for your main computer. Remember, it's still a beta and there will surely be bugs in there somewhere!

I just installed it on a spare laptop I have in inventory. It's a much smoother system from what I've experienced so far. Boot times are great and a majority of the drivers were already recognized which is nice if you don't have the driver disk that comes with your computer.

The laptop that it's installed on only has 1GB of RAM and it is running great! I never use a paging file to cache from the hard drive and this system has been quick and responsive. I'm going to install it as a dual-boot on my business laptop and I'm hoping it will run even better especially since mine has 3GB of RAM!!

I'm going to run this system for a while (although the beta version expires in June of 09...but I already took care of that.

Hope ya'll have a good experience with it...I'll update as I start to use it more.

oh and how big was the iso?

its best if you install it on a blank partition so you dont lose what you already have.

.iso is roughly 2.5GB. A blank partition is great to have if one is knowledgeable in how to create a partition...but as stated above VMware is a great idea too.
