Red ring of death

i just bought an xbox360 elite from bestbuy today...within 2 hours of having it hooked up and playing i got a red ring of death

that sucks....

most of the higher HD versions heat up alot

take it back and get the 60gig version...

but even then they could heat up...

I assume that's the equivalent of the blue screen of death with a computer? Take that thing back and get an original Atari.

I didnt know the elites had this problem? WTF nothing is made with quality these days.

Microhard knows about the problem. I think there is a class action lawsuit because of the fact that they knew about the problem before the 360 was even released.

I have sent in 2 "white" xbox 360's.

I have never heard of the elite having an issue. Not all flashing red lights are the same. If you turn the box on and the red lights (3) flash, look on the power supply. Does it turn green or stay orange?

I am actually on my 5th xbox 3 white ones and 1 elite with E74 fixed it and sold it now im on my 5th from DSL_PWR and it has lasted me for 4 or so months.
