Busted xbox360

So my xbox 360's been busted (red rings of death!) for around 2 months now, and have never had the time to do anything about it.

However, I have been thinking of a way to fix my problem and screw Microsoft all at the same time!

I'll go out and buy a new base version 360 and pay cash, take it home, swap the good console out with the broken one, and return the ("new") console.

Sure it's illegal, but only if you get caught

After spending money trying to fix Microsofts in the past, I honestly couldn't care less seeing them lose a few bucks on an xbox.

You guys think it's a good idea?

oh, and I will be swapping serial numbers to make it all the more legit

I wouldn't post that on a public forum, but it would probably work.

Yeah, was hesitant to post, but I don't really care, lol.
Walmart sounds good to me
...cause believe me I'm not sending it in for 80$+ to get back the same old POS that will have another little piece fail again.

Thanks Dave. I'm aware, and going to take the risk. You'd never see me do this with anything other than a Microsoft product...
