Unhappy firefox 2.0 help

hey i'm trying out firefox 2.0 for a bit. i'm having a problem with it though. on my laptop's mouse pad, i can go over to the edge a do a fast scroll through web pages. i can also do it side to side on the bottom of the mouse pad. this feature works fine with IE but it doesn't work at all with FF 2.0. i looked in options and there was a spot for "auto scroll" tried with it checked and unchecked and still no worky.

any ideas?

yeah i'd really like to figure it out. been real happy with it other than this one issue. and it's a big issue for me since it just sucks to try and scroll on that little mousepad without the feature.

well, IE is interwoven into ALL of Windows, therefore, it leaves your system vulnerable to hackers, thats why there have been so many problems with windows. All the viruses get in thru IE. You are less likely to be hacked, pop-up'd, or get viruses using another browser, like firefox, excite, opera and so on, my 2 favorites are firefox and excite. (and i use a Mac like i said before) never have problems. never get hacked, no viruses, and NO i repeat NO pop-ups, EVER. of course i wont own a windows computer even if u paid me. but so you know, everyone i know who uses firefox et al on a windows computer, has told me they have fewer problems especially from internet use
