Can't forget about the Turbo Graphix 16 with the portable version that took the same game cards.

Or how about the Neo Geo (I think that was the name)...was like $800 when the original Nintendo came out.
Another classic! Remember Keith Courage & Bonk? As far as the NeoGeo, you could take the cards out, bring them to the arcade, & stick them in any NeoGeo arcade console, advance through a bunch of levels, & bring the card back home & pick up where you left off on your home console! Some bodegas in my neighborhood STILL have some of the old SNK NeoGeo arcade games!

Bonk! That was the game I was trying to remember!!

Oh and Tetris, how about Dr. Mario? Same idea but with little pills and bugs! When I moved up to SNES and N64 and all...my Mom stole my origanl Nintendo and wore it out playing those two games! Then she went out and got an updated version so she could play!

And I just got a XBox 360 and the wifey and I got the "new" Tetris...like six different versions to play and up to 4 players can play as teams or head to head!

Never considered myself a "gamer". I remember when Sears Roebuck & Co came out with their console called "pong". Just a plain brown console with 2 paddles. Mom & Dad then got my brother an Atari 1600 and then a NES. Today I have the Atari (still works), NES (still works), SNES (still works), N64, PS2, and Sega Dreamcast. My favorite games to play are Duck Hunt, Dig Dug, Excite Bike, Pit Fall, Contra, Dead or Alive 2, and House of the Dead.

The other day I was playing Pit Fall and my wife's friend came over. She asked what I was playing and when I told her Atari, she asked "what's an Atari"? What's an Atari, do you think game consoles evolved overnight!

Yep. With the exception of my Atari(R.I.P), all of my old systems still work! Matter of fact, I got all teary-eyed punching in this thread & I'm playing Abadox as we speak!
