True computer "geeks" only...

My computer died a week ago,...so I bought this new one.

I'm not a "gamer"....my old computer(8years old), had 40gig,...and in 8 years, I only used 6 of them.

Here are 2 pics,...see if you can find the thing I "think" I should upgrade.

Will I actually notice a difference if i upgraded?

I would switch from those VGA cables to the DVI cables. The picture quality is much better.
All of my work computers are about 4 years old and the one with DVI have a much better picture than our VGA ones.

What he is showing is that his monitor has both DVI & VGA inputs and that his tower has HDMI, VGA and dual DVI outputs. It looks like he is currently running dual monitors from the video card and down converting the DVI outputs to DB9 VGA.

You have a DVI-D connector on the monitor.

To give a true answer, I need to see what DVI your video card has. Most likely it is a DVI-I, but I've seen DVI-A's.

Depends on how much you pay for the cables. If you are just using the pc for internet and whatnot, I'd leave it alone.
