Filtered at work
I work in the tec area at a good sized bank. New third party filter cut off powerstroke.org. I found a way to hit it by going off a thread notification in my e-mail but I am really limited. My main experience is on bigger servers so my overall internet portal knowledge is limited. The filter is killing everything that is forum oriented with scripts. Yea definitly the org. Anyone think of a way around a filter when your only choice is to go through the company lan? Anything the .org engineers could change to allow it to fool filters?

Did you try going through Yahoo? Bring the web site address on a search and launch the web site off of the list. This fools our filter at work. Even tho we have 35 Power Stroke ambulances. The filter still denies accesss to this site.

www.spidersanta.com
it re-routes the ip address from the website so it is not recognized as a restricted site. The only problem is that it's slow. |

I work on a military base and the server here blocks all the free e-mail sites and other random stuff. Luckly I can still get on to the org. but most of the pic's get blocked so just subscribe to a thread and read it at home.

Most people I work with use Google to get around the filter.
We have these terminals that have no hard drives just RAM chips and WinXp on a ROM chip. They are really slow! It's like being back on windows 3.1 |
