A NEW DVR for the Technologically Inclined!!!

I have been following the Hype from Archos Fans for about 6 months now!!! I FINALLY got one ( They passed FCC inspections in Jan 08). They are a DVR that is Networkable, and you can copy Data to and from your network, and share files between your DVR, Streaming media players for your Home theater, computers and anything else that will play AVI files! There is no Subscription fee at least for the first year, and if you are like me (4. 5 TB of HD Space) you only need the 80GB version.

This is not for the technologically faint of heart. It took me a while to get everything figured out, and working with my system at home. If you want it you should consider hardwiring it as well, as streaming video wirelessly is not a good long term solution.

Anyhow without further stalling.... I give you ...

Archos TV+

I LOVE it so far, let me know what you all think, and ask questions if you are interested.

Bob~!

Hmmmm and what do they do with your personal information, like what shows I watch and record? Most (like Tivo) sell that information to consumer groups, which is the main reason I went with MythTV. Oh and the rich geek factor saying I did it!!! Thanks for the link, Bob. I'll have to check it out...
