Syncing my iPhone 4S to my pioneer avic-z2

I bought my 08 and it has a pioneer avic-z2 head unit . I can not get it to sync to my iPhone . It shows the radio name on my phone and looks like it is trying , then I get the message that it can not connect . Make sure the radio is on and ready to connect . I have no idea what to do .

I did some digging for you.

Here is the user manual for your head unit: Click! (it's a PDF)

Page 85 is the start of chapter nine which is for hands free phone usage. 86 is where the steps to link them through blue tooth are.

Apparently there's two ways to set it up, via your phone and via the headunit. Your best bet would probably be to do it through the headunit.

Hope this helps.

Thank you again . I was able to get them paired together for the phone part of it . I was hoping it would also pic up my music . Haven't been able to do that yet . Doesn't seem to be an option . I am happy to have the phone working for now though .

Yeah I'm not sure with Iphones, I know my Android can play it through bluetooth. But I hope you can get it working. Best of luck.
